Final ALT Trolley Tour to Visit Wicks Nursery Thursday
Hop aboard an old-fashioned trolley and discover the past, present and future of conservation on Aquidneck Island. Led by ALT Executive Director Ted Clement, the tour will visit protected working farms, wildlife habitats, outdoor recreation areas and scenic vistas on the Island. Discover first-hand the magnitude of ALT's work, see conservation projects up close and learn what's at risk.
These tours are free and open to the public, but be sure to RSVP as space is limited. Tours leave from the ALT offices promptly at 5 p.m. and return no later than 7 p.m.
The tour on Thursday, Sept. 30 marks ALT's final trolley tour of the season. The tour consists of a rolling adventure over some conserved properties, as well as those ALT is trying to conserve (like the Wicks Nursery), and also some properties that are not currently conserved. The tour is led by Executive Director, Ted Clement, and finishes with a nice wine and appetizer meet and greet at Sweet Berry Farm with land owners there.
