Middletown Police Phone Lines Repaired

UPDATE: As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, phone lines were restored and are now functioning properly, police reported.

The Town of Middletown continues to recover from the effects of Hurricane Irene.  As a result of the storm, the administrative telephone lines to all town departments and offices are currently out of service.

However, all town departments are open during normal business hours.

If you require non-emergency services from the town we ask you either wait until the telephone lines are repaired or you travel directly to the town department for assistance.

The Middletown Police Department and Middletown Fire Department can still be reached during an emergency by dialing 911.

In addition, the police and fire department each have one direct emergency telephone line still working:

  • The police department can be reached by dialing 846-1104.
  • The fire department can be reached by dialing 847-3636.

Any questions can be directed to Lt. Robert S. Nutt of the Administrative Services Division at rnutt@middletownri.com or at the telephone number listed above.
