WHO: Gardella will join winners from 23 states on the Cabot Celebrity Cruise  as well as Cabot staff and representatives from program partners AARP Create the Good and Points of Light, on the eight-day, seven-night excursion. Local radio stations in more than 20 markets chose some of this year’s “Community Celebrities,” while others were recognized from recent Cabot programs, including Reward Volunteers iPhone app and the 2012
Cabot Community Tour
, an eight week celebration along the East Coast.

WHEN Winners depart from the Port of Seattle on September 14th and return on the 21st.

WHERE Gardella will board the Celebrity Cruise® INFINITY in Seattle for an eight-day cruise visiting the picturesque Alaskan coastline - including Ketchikan, Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau, Skagway, and Alaska Inside Passage – as well as Victoria, British Colombia.

WHY: The 1,200 farm family owners of Cabot Creamery recognize the importance of volunteerism and want to acknowledge the unsung heroes of local communities
for their hard work and efforts.  While the winners of this trip typically shun praise, Cabot’s farm family owners want
the notion of “community celebrity” to evolve into a roader recognition of selfless volunteerism.  This trip is Cabot’s way of saying “Thank You” to those who serve their communities and enhance the quality of life for those they serve.
