The latest Wes Anderson film "Moonrise Kingdom" is seeking a number of background actors, or "extras," to cast in a variety of roles, according to a recent casting call announcement from the company.

Moonrise Kingdom, which has production offices based in Middletown and plans to film scenes throughout Rhode Island, is seeking the following background actors listed below.

Those interested should first register at the LDI Casting website and follow submission instructions from there.

Then, LDI requests that only those people who truly match the description requirements should submit a response with photo and please also note union affiliation or status (SAG, AFTRA or NON-union).

LDI is seeking the following background actors:

• Male - 40+ Caucasian - Rugged
  Shoots - Thursday - April 28
• Boys - 12-14 years old who have SAILING/CANOEING EXPERIENCE
  Shoots - Thursday - April 28 and Thursday - May 19
• 6th grade students - boys and girls
  Shoots - Friday - April 29
• Boys - to portray 14-17 years old
  Attitude... punk...bad seed
  Shoots Friday - May 6

Additionally, for future shoots on dates to be announced, LDI is seeking:

• A boy (ages 12-14) who knows Morse Code.
• Two "salty fishermen ages 70 or over.
