  • January 26, 2011

The Aquidneck Land Trust is reminding island residents and supporters that Thursday is the last day to register for its 21st Annual Meeting and free buffet dinner on Thursday, Feb. 3 at the Atlantic Beach Club.

Guests may RSVP by emailing Courtney Huth at chuth@ailt.org or calling 401-849-2799- x 19 by Jan. 27, according to its website.

The Aquidneck Land Trust has a lot to celebrate from its most recent year in the conservation business: Easy Street Farm and the O'Neill property in Middletown, the Sulthorne property and conservation easements in Newport at Spencer and King Parks, according to its website. In 2010, the organization also released "Aquidneck Island Outdoors," those all-encompassing outdoor recreation maps for Aquidneck Island that everyone's been grabbing up all over town, and so far has raised $1.7 of the $2 million needed for the conservation Eeasement for Wicks Nursery in Portsmouth.
