William T. Sullivan, 80, of Forest Ave. Middletown, R.I. died Friday morning, August 6, 2010 at the Newport Hospital. He was the wife of Jane (Dailey) Sullivan. Born in Newport on February 7, 1930, he was a son of the late Charles M. and Anna (Burns) Sullivan.

Bill was a contractor and president of the former C&B Building Company in Newport. He was a member of the Newport Knights of Columbus, Council 256 and member of the 3rd degree, General Rosecrans Assembly, Newport K of C, Newport Lodge of Elks, Middletown Senior Center and was former member of the Newport Lions Club.

Besides his wife Jane of Middletown, he leaves his brother John F. "Jack" Sullivan, Sr. and his wife Marian of Middletown; his nephews John F. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Portsmouth, Charles M. Sullivan, III and his wife Colleen of Rumford and Newport; his nieces Ann Shoppell of Middletown, Linda Haaverson of New Mexico, and Barbara Carey and her husband Richard of Quincy, MA; sisters-in-law Virginia (Dailey) Cafferky and her husband James of Warwick, Claire Dailey of Cranston, Nancy Dailey and her late husband Eugene of Cranston and Marion Miles of Myrtle Beach, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Charles M. Sullivan, Jr; brother-in-law of the late Elizabeth Sullivan; and uncle of the late Charles W. Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 9am in St. Lucy's Church, W. Main Rd., Middletown. Burial at St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
