Middletown Inauguration Ceremony Slated for Monday Night

The Town of Middletown Inauguration Ceremony for the newly elected Town Council and School Committee members is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

Additional parking and bus transportation will be available from the RK Shopping Plaza (Marshals/McDonalds) also located on East Main Road.

Rabbi Marc S. Jagolinzer from Temple Shalom located in Middletown will deliver the invocation and benediction.

State Sen. Louis P. DiPalma will swear in the following individuals to the Middletown Town Council:

  • Richard Cambra
  • Bruce J. Long, Jr.
  • Christopher T. Semonelli
  • Edward J. Silveira, Jr.
  • Antone C. Viveiros
  • Barbara A. VonVillas
  • Arthur S. Weber, Jr.

The following newly elected individuals will be installed on the School Committee:

  • Michael F. Crowley, Jr.
  • Liana Ferreira—Fenton
  • Theresa Silveira Spengler

Outgoing Town Councilors Frank Arakel Bozyan, M. Theresa Santos, and Robert J. Sylvia will also be recognized for their service to the community.

The ceremony will include a memorial for Middletown native U.S. Army Sergeant Michael F. Paranzino who was killed in action on Friday, November 5, 2010 serving his country in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
