Local resident Kenny Raposa captured these photos of dolphins swimming this morning in Narragansett Bay.

Raposa says he was in his boat on his way to work on Prudence Island when he came upon a pod of common dolphins. The dolphins were between Dyer and Prudence Islands at 8 a.m.

At one point, Raposa says the dolphins swam right under the boat.

A pod of dolphins was also spotted recently in Newport on Tuesday. Check out the 12 Meter Charters blog for some great shots.

We were returning from Block Island a coup;e of weeks age and a pod of dolphines stayed with us for a few minuts and did swim under the boat. We were up in the flybrige and did not have enough time to get the camera, It was quite exciting.
