The Middletown Fire Department has reported the leak has been repaired.  Crews are onsite and are refilling and patching the road.  Road expected to open by 2:00 p.m. today.

According to the Middletown Fire Department, there is currently a gas leak in a broken pipe near 1134 Wapping Rd. The road will be shut down while repairs are made. Nearby homes were checked for leaks, but none were found.

"It just has leaking up from the road, grass and dirt of the side of the road," said Fire Chief Ronald Doire.

Once the repairs are made, the road will reopen.
