LETTER: Potter League Says "Thank You" for a Successful 39th Annual Fundraiser

The Middletown Potter League held it's 39th annual "Have a Heart" fundraiser on Feb 10 at the Hotel Viking. The event raised more than $92,000.

This letter was submitted by the Middletown Potter League for Animals:

Love was definitely in the air on February 10th! Once again the community opened their hearts and their wallets to help the homeless animals at the 39th Annual Have A Heart Cocktail Party and Silent Auction at the Hotel Viking in Newport. More than 500 people attended, raising more than $92,000 to help the Potter League provide care and find loving homes for the homeless and unwanted animals.

Auctioneer, Emlen Drayton emceed the event and hosted a lively and fun-filled live auction featuring fabulous get-a-ways, exciting sports tickets and elite excursions and dinners. The silent auction featured 325 items, including golf packages, a Lilly Pulitzer beach cruiser, travel getaways, works of art, bling bling and more. Dale Alley was the lucky winner of the popular 50/50 cash raffle! Attendees also generously contributed to the Potter League’s Animal Care Fund, which helps to offset the costs of basic animal care needs in addition to supporting more intensive veterinary care, surgery and medication.

We are truly grateful for the tremendous support demonstrated by all our guests and the hundreds of individuals and local businesses that donated auction items, sponsored the event, and volunteered their time and talent to make this year’s event a huge success.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor BankNewport, our media sponsors WPRI FOX Providence and The Animal Print magazine as well as our event sponsors, The Hotel Viking & Swank Audio Visual, Chanterelle Boutique Catering & Exquisite Events, and  our auction sponsors; Arianna Beauty, Drupal Connect, Endurance Wealth Management, NewportFed, People’s Credit Union, William Raveis Chapman Enstone and William Vareika Fine Arts, LTD.

From the bottom of our hearts – thank you!
