The Newport County Mentor/Co-Op Group will be hosting a tour for area high school students on May 16th of the International Yacht Restoration School composites shop in Bristol. The event is open to any student in Newport County.  
“We are happy to have the group visit IYRS. Our marine systems students are on internship, so upon arrival, we will meet in the systems shop, explain the programs and then break up into groups to tour the composites shop,” said Holly Ashton, IYRS Admissions Associate. “There is a lot going on in the shop right now so this should be a great experience for all.”

Students are asked to contact their high school advisors and/or school based coordinator for more information. There is limited seating availability and students need to sign up by May 11.

A bus will be provided and will follow the schedule below:

• Middletown High School at 7:30 am.
• Portsmouth High School at 8:00 a.m.
• Tiverton High School at 8:30 a.m.
• It will arrive at the IYRS facility in Bristol at 9:00 a.m. 
• The tour should be over at 11:30 a.m., then reverse the course.
