For the ninth time in 20 playoff appearances, the New England Patriots are just one game from advancing to the Super Bowl.

That game will be played at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 6:30 p.m. against the Baltimore Ravens. It is the second consecutive season the Patriots and Ravens will meet in the AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium. New England beat Baltimore in last season’s AFC title game, 23-20 to advance to Super Bowl XLVI.

The Patriots are 7-1 all-time in AFC Championship Games, including 4-0 in Foxborough (3-0 at Gillette Stadium) but just 1-1 against the Ravens in the postseason. Baltimore defeated the Patriots, 33-14 in the 2009-10 AFC Wild Card game at Gillette Stadium on Jan. 10, 2010. However, the Patriots are 6-2 all-time vs. the Ravens.

The Atlanta Falcons will host the NFC Championship Game after beating the Seattle Seahawks.

A -8 spread actually means the Patriots are favored to win.
