NWS: Saturday's Storm Could Bring 2 to 5 Inches of Snow

The heaviest snow is expected to fall between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.

It looks like Old Man Winter could be waking up.

An ocean storm is expected to bring accumulating snow beginning tonight at midnight and continuing throughout Saturday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

The Middletown Police Department has issued a parking ban, which will last from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Sunday.

In addition, at the request of the Middletown Public Works Department, residents are not to deposit snow into any state or town road because it contributes to hazardous driving conditions.

The NWS says Middletown could see between 2 to 5 inches of snow. However, there's a possibility coastal areas, such as Fall River, MA, and New Bedford, MA, could see higher amounts ranging between 6 to 8 inches.

The heaviest snow is expected to fall between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday. Roads are expected to become snow-covered and slippery.
