Planned Parenthood Endorses Finn

The following release was provided by Elect Linda Finn

Planned Parenthood Votes!

Rhode Island PAC has officially endorsed Democratic candidate, Linda Finn, in the RI House District 72 race.

“As a woman and mother, I am honored to receive the endorsement of Planned Parenthood,” said Linda Finn. “The services Planned Parenthood provides to women, such as lifesaving cancer screenings, birth control, prevention and treatment of STIs, mammograms, and more are critical to the well-being of every woman in our state.”

“We are grateful that Linda is running and that she is a strong advocate of women’s health issues,” said Paula Hodges, Director of Public Policy and Advocacy of Planned Parenthood Votes! Rhode Island.

“Unlike my opponent, who is a cosponsor of H 7205 which would mandate that women receive an obstetric ultrasound before undergoing an abortion, I believe that government and politicians need to stay out of the way and respect the privacy of women and their families while they face these very personal and difficult decisions.” continued Finn. “I intend to support family planning programs to help Rhode Island families get access to the preventative healthcare they need and that includes ensuring women have access to birth control.”

Linda Finn is running for Rhode Island House District 72 which includes the communities of Middletown and Portsmouth.

So Her Opponent Is Supporting A Bill That Requires Women To Have An Ultrasound Before Getting An Abortion, Big Deal. She Sounds Like She Supports Abortion As A Form Of Birth Control.

Conservatives, if you are so against government intruding on your lives and telling you how to live it, why do you want the government to make abortion illegal so badly? It seems a bit hypocritical to say that the government having it's hand in your pockets and in your healthcare is un-American and will not be tolerated anymore, but the government having it's hand in a woman's uterus is perfectly acceptable?
If government is so bad at running everything else then why the hell should they be able to tell people what to do with their own bodies.

Sunny, a state rep's views on abortion are totally irrelevant. It's the big government, tax and spend idiology that are the main reason I could never vote for a progressive liberal. People get so caught up in the social issues which is why the country is so divided. The state is in serious financial peril and all we have heard about is gays and views on abortion. Lets get our priorities straight.
