Middletown Police Bust Underage Party at Hotel

The following incident was reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Monday, Feb. 11 around 2:31 a.m., Middletown police responded to the Ramada Inn at 425 East Main Road to what they later discovered was a small, underage party. Police issued four citations for underage drinking and one social host violation.

When police arrived on-scene, the manager said a loud, intoxicated group was in room 310.  The manager alleged he told the group to quiet down, but they refused to open the door and continued to disrupt guests.

Police announced their presence and knocked on the door, but they were not allowed access.

The manager opened the door for police. Police said four individuals were asleep on the beds: Haley Toth,18, of Brunswick, N.J.,  Lillian Vanderbilt, 18, of Manalapan, N.J., Shae Moran, 18, of Framingham, Mass., and Mark Pivinski, 19, of Howell, N.J.  Police sad beer cans were all over the room.

Police reported they were unable to wake-up 19-year-old Pivinski.  The Middletown Fire Department responded and transported to him to Newport Hospital due to his high level of intoxication.

The other three were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor.  They told police the room had been rented by Christina Debellas, 18, of Manalapan, N.J., who was downstairs in another room.   Police said when they spoke to Debellas, she admitted that she rented the room and knew people were drinking inside of it. Debellas was cited under the social host ordinance.

Police responded to Newport Hospital to check on Pivinski's condition. Hospital staff said Pivinski was admitted and was still not responsive, but was breathing. According to reports, Pivinski’s blood work showed a high concentration of alcohol and cocaine in his system. He was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
