Readers' Choice: Best Place for a Sandwich in Middletown

What's your favorite place to grab one in Middletown?

A sandwich is a quick-and-easy meal, and on most menus, it's the most reliable pick when you're not sure about the other food. It's also usually the cheapest thing you can order.

But as easy as it is to make a great sandwich, only a few places offer a truly awe-inspiring sandwich. You know, the one that you can't help but order even when you know there are more sophisticated dishes on the menu.

This week, we want to know: Which restaurant or deli serves up the best sandwich in Middletown?

Is it Sig's Deli, Pickles, Subway, D'Angelos, Cornucopia Cafe, Provencal Bakery, Kingston Pizza, Jim's Deli, Sweet Berry Farm, or Fatulli's?

Vote in our poll below, then share your thoughts in the comments section. If we left your favorite sandwich shop off the list, note that in the comments as well.

We'll leave the poll up all week then close voting at 9 a.m. Friday. At noon that day, we'll share your top local pick. Then be sure to watch the site over the weekend when we tally up the top votes and announce the sandwich shop that got the most rave reviews across all of our Rhode Island sites.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Emma is right. SBF should be listed. Maybe it's not bc it's seasonal? SBF and Fatulli's are amazing. Pay more but the quality is what makes a sandwich good.

No place like Provencal. Best quality meats, salads, cupcakes, cookies, pastry of all kinds. Love the Thanksgiving wrap made with fresh out of the oven real turkey!
Soups all made from scratch, delicious Kale, Chili and chunky chicken made from real chicken breasts roasted in the oven. MMMM. Hungry thinking about it.
