Thursday: Bird Tales and Library Board of Trustees Meeting

- The Norman Bird Sanctuary will host Bird Tales, a storyhour and craft for toddlers. The price is $4 for members or $6 for non-members.
- Middletown seniors are welcome to attend a writing class, Words from the Heart, at the Middletown Senior Center at 1:30 p.m. The class explores the memorable moments in life and how to put them into words to share with loved ones.
- The Middletown Public Library’s Board of Trustees will hold a Budget Committee meeting at 4:15 p.m. at the library.
- Tonight is Newport Gallery Night. More than 20 art galleries will be open for extended hours from 5 to 8 p.m. and more than 20 restaurants will offer special dining deals for those participating in Gallery Night. - Representatives from Church Community Housing will be on hand for an informational session on first time home buying at the Newport Public Library at 7 p.m. tonight. They will discuss the classes offered for eligible first time homebuyers, and there will be a drawing for one attendee of the session to win a “scholarship” for Homebuyer Training Education.
