Thursday: Prospect Ave Bridge Meeting and MHS Chorus Concert
A look at what's happening in and around Middletown today.
The bridge at the corner of Prospect and Paradise Avenues has been deteriorating, and will be rebuilt starting next week.
- The Middletown Engineering Department will host a public forum about the replacement project of the Prospect Avenue Bridge at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. The project will begin on December 21, and the public is encouraged to attend with any questions, problems, or requests.
- Barnes & Noble will be holding a Book Fair to benefit the Middletown Public Library from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. Stop by the library circulation desk to pick up a voucher and then go shopping where Barnes & Noble will donate a portion of your sale to the library.
- The Middletown High School Chorus Holiday Concert will take place tonight at 7 p.m. at Calvary Methodist Church. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children with a maximum of $10 per family.
- Aquidneck Pizza will host a free movie night showing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at 5:30 p.m. followed by ornament crafts. No outside food is allowed.
- From 5 to 8 p.m. tonight J. McLaughlin will be open for extended hours and will donate 15-percent of their sales to Child & Family Services of Newport County.
