Thursday: The Sakonnet River Bridge Opens, Nice Weather Predicted
A look at what is going on around Middletown today.
1.) Farmers market starts on East Main Road starts at 3 p.m today.
2.) Phew! The Middletown Fire and Police Departments reported no issues after Tuesday's wind storm. Not even a fallen tree.
3.) Middle East Realignment: The Arab Upheaval, a lecture by H.E. Ambassador Marwan Muasher starts at 6:30 p.m. in Newport.
4. ) The Sakonnet River Bridge's northbound lanes will open to traffic tomorrow. The bridge's southbound lanes could also open as early as next week.
5.) The National Weather Service predicts a gorgeous fall day today, with sunny skies and a high near 66. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph.
