Tuesday: Summer Camp and Shutter Bugs

1. Newport County YMCA Summer Camp registration starts today. Ages range from 3-15 and the new program Junior Counselor program for teen 15 & 16 years old starts this summer.
2. Capitol Realty and Bring Peace Not Pain are proud to present "World Capital: a photography exhibition that reflects the people and places that truly define our global capital" featuring works by Kathleen Casey, Sean Johnstone and Barbara Schoenfeld.
3. Free parking ends in downtown Newport. The new meters now accept credit cards so you don't have to remember your quarters anymore.
4. Today in high school sports: the boys' varsity outdoor track team faces Rogers, Shea and Tolman; the varsity fastpitch softball team plays Ponaganset; the boys' varsity lacrosse team competes against Mount St. Charles, and the girls' varsity lacrosse team takes on Pilgrim.
5. Expect showers today, heavy at times, with temperatures in the low 50s, according to the National Weather Service.
