What's Open and Closed on the Fourth of July in Middletown?

Here's a quick look at holiday closures for July 4, 2011.

 

The Fourth of July is of course a federal holiday, which means most federal, state and local government offices–with the exception of essential services—will be closed. Here's what's opened and closed in Middletown on Monday, July 4, 2011:

Beaches: Open. Check the Department of Health website for the latest closures or water quality advisories, or call the Beach Hotline at 401-222-2751.

Middletown's PAYT Trash & RecyclingThe town's Pay-As-You-Throw program will have a one-day delay for trash and recycling collections this week.

Middletown Senior Center: closed

Middletown Public Library: closed. The library will reopen Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.

Middletown Public Schoolsclosed for summer of course. And thankfully snow days only pushed school up until June 28!

U.S. Post Office: closed

FedEx Office: closed, reopens 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Banks: closed

Stop & Shopopens at 6 a.m. Monday.

Walgreens: open

Restaurants, Fast-Food and Pubs: Most establishments typically open on Mondays are open today, however some may have special holiday hours.
