Me and my wife love the S. S. Dion. Went there for Valentine's Day and had a great dinner.

In Tiverton would definitely place Boathouse, 524, or Stonebridge Restaurant ahead of the sandwich counter with no parking! Or Nonni's!

Spain of Narragansett is top-notch and unique; the Atlantic Beach Club in Middletown is legendary and right on the ocean; Tiverton's Boathouse is excellent, though not very intimate; and I would add Providence's Mediterraneo and Capital Grille to the list. I can't even imagine Nonni's or the Black Goose as a 'romantic' choice ...

When two people are in love ,even Burger King can be romantic. Spontaneity, engaging conversation, and who can pass up those french fries .

so, Joe, if you were planning a romantic dinner for your partner, you would reserve a table at Burger King? That's the point of the poll, where would you PLAN to take someone for a romantic meal.

Dan, I am saying if you have to spend hundreds to impress a date you lack in other areas. If you don't like my comment don't read it .

So Joe if you have to spend thousands on a Harley what do you lack that you are trying to make up for?

so, you would take your partner to BK for valentine's day? It is not about liking or disliking, I was educating you Joe. Yes, a stopover in BK can be fun and even romantic, but you do not have to spend "hundreds" as you put - (are all those places on this list that expensive? I have been to a few of them and got out at under $60 for a family of 4 most times).

Sounds like you have to make up for the short falls, or shortness in your case.

so, taking someone out to a nice dinner is "making up" for something? You are a very small minded man.

When my husband and I were first married 22 years ago and literally had nothing, going to BK would have been fine. After 22 years and 3 kids....I deserve and expect much more than a burger. I think a good husband would realize that.

and he deserves better too. Nothing wrong with treating each other to a nice meal. after all, when you are married or co-habitating, your money belongs to you as a couple (in most cases). so in a marriage, you are both treating yourselves, as well as each other to a nice, romantic meal.

Very true Dan. In my case, my husband would much rather stay home. He doesn't enjoy going out to eat. I always make sure I do something for him that I know he'll like and appreciate and he takes me out to eat.

Frankly Joe, you need to get a life. Your constant personal attacks on people is really out of control.
