According to Town Administrator Shawn Brown, the answer is no. "The town does not have jurisdiction on federal properties," he said.

Would Patch run a poll? tolls or not, simple yes or no?

Could you be more specific? Nobody ever wants a toll or a tax, but the question remains then how to pay for it. Now that RIBTA is responsible for the bridge, one might support it if it means no toll increase on the Newport Bridge.
We could do a poll to see if residents would rather see toll increased on Pell, or new tolls installed on the River Bridge.

I agree with that ' how about both, should new tolls be put on new bridge and should bridge autherity be romoved and rolled into DOT

Why do we have flat to declining enrollment in our public schools and we lay off teachers every year, but they cost of our schools keeps rising at a rate far faster than the rate of inflation?
Also, why is the process of Kindergarten registration so cumbersome? We had to print and fill out a huge packet of forms with repeats of much of the information, make an in-person meeting and then bring them into Oliphant so that 3 school administrative people could enter the data into a computer.
Oh wait, maybe the second question answers the first.
