We are able to enjoy our beaches largely as a result of a grass roots volunteer organization, Clean Ocean Access.  The group, founded by Dave McLaughlin, conducts weekly water testing, government advocacy and organizes dozens of beach clean-ups every year.

Their annual fundraiser and slideshow event is coming up on Jan. 25 and Jan. 26!  It sells out every year, so you must get tickets in advance. Tickets are $20 and are available at Easton’s Point Pub.

There will be live music (4 bands), great slides showcasing local surf, COA events and other stuff (15 photographers), excellent food (provided for free by Pour Judgment and Aquidneck Pizza) along with a raffle and silent auction for all sorts of good stuff (providing by the surf industry and countless local businesses).
