What do you get when you mix the game of basketball, 5 professional entertainment basketball players and 500 hundred local kids of all ages?
"The best time ever!"
Or at least that's what you heard repeated by parents, teachers and kids alike at this week's Harlem Wizards Event at the Gaudet Middle School. Sponsored by the Gaudet Parent Teacher Group, the Harlem Wizards, now in their 51st season, were invited to not only entertain the sold out crowd of 500 but to teach a lesson in respect and responsibility to the students in grades 4 through 8 at Gaudet with a special visit to Forest Avenue Elementary School. From the looks of it they succeeded FANtastically on all counts.
The buzz surrounding this community-wide event is still reverberating throughout the schools and in the parking lots of the local grocery stores. If you missed this event, you missed something very special.
We'll let the photos do the talking.
