Neither rain nor sleet nor eight inches of snow was going to squash the determination of MHS freshman Zach O'Connor as he prepared for the Freshamn/JV Wrestling State Championships this week.  Plagued by injuries for the latter half of the season, Zach patiently waited for his chance to hit the mats in the State contest.

And hit them he did, beating Moulaye Sangare of Cumberland High School to achieve the highest post in Freshman Wrestling 160 lb. weight class.  

"We are looking forward to a great wrestling career for Zach," explained proud coach Andrew Bulk, "He is someone to keep an eye on."
