The Middletown High School Islander Wrestling Team competed at the Westerly Chad Antouch Memorial Tournament on Saturday, January 5, 2013. 

The team, as a whole wrestled very well placing 11th out of 20 , with stand out performances from Joe Rutledge placing first at the 126 lb. weight class.  

John Young of Portsmouth took top honors at 195. 

Senior, Jaxon Thibeault placed 3rd at the 132 lb. weight class which may have  been the toughest weight class in the tournament.

A great effort given by Tyler Mello at 113 placing 4th.

The Islanders will hit the mat at home tomorrow, Wednesday. January 9, 2013 at 7:00pm at the Gaudet gym against Coventry High School.  These contests are open to the public and well worth the experience.
