Election season is rolling up fast, Now is the time to see where folks stand on the tolls, If you see a post online for someone running for office ask them how they feel, about the tolls, Part of what I find amazing is the amount of folks who say "let the folks of Portsmouth and Tiverton Pay their fair share" right now those folks can drive around those tolls for the rest of their lives, But they know and care about the economic effect this money grab will cause to everyone that lives in Newport county, right now all upstate see's is the money coming in, not the money loss this will cause NO TOLLS

Tolls, Ri had a study done about tolls, It said the 80% of trucks and 60% of the cars on RT 95 where from out of state, It also daid that 30% of the cars that us the Sakonett River bridge were from out of state also (TOURISTS), if you factor in the cars drom MA that work on the island i think 20% would be more accurate, So Newport county is going to be paying 805 of the money the folks upstate think they are getting from tourists, ARE THEY INSANE?or are we insane/ More names, more letters, more phone calls more telling yourvreps, if you are going to stand there and say "this is a done deal!" then you will be voted out, Put folks in that will do right by Newport county, Put in folks who will stand and fight like all of us are, do not except passing tribute upstate like we are serfs and they are kings, NO TOLLS

Tolls? 150 million dollars? It seems that the new Sakonett Bridge will need or should require very little maintance for it's first 10 years, now at a low estmainte of 15 million a year that means 10 years from now the RITPBA will just have 150 million hanging around, is this bridge about to become the big dig of RI? since 80% of that money is coming from us, how much do you think we will get, i would at least hope the reps who did this to us with get what ever goodies they were offered, I mean they are local, and must of the money will be ripped from local pockets right?
