sorry all . don't mean to stop all the school starting excitement , but if tolls roll thru next spring how many folks will lose jobs? Lets talk about car sales as one segment, of the local economy you have salemen, receptionist, parts and repairs, with just 3 major new cars dealers on the island and in Middletown how do you think anyone will want to pay $8.00 dollars to look at a care they MIGHT buy, never mind a return trip!(who buys a car the first time in the deleerr?) So things slow down, couple of salesmen let go, then a few repair guys and the guy who buffs up the trade ins, so now they don't have jobs, and their not sending out for lunch, not stopping for a beer after work, no more out to dinner maybe a few less school cloths, can you see what i'm talking about? because upstate is getting ready to do this to all of us, and after the tolls kill half the businesses on the island and they need more money, better check your pockets because they will come for whats left!
