 ce this Friday November 9th at JamStage in Pawtucket! Rock Lab\, Girls R
 ock! Rhode Island&rsquo\;s monthly rock session open to girls 11-17 and 
 ladies (18+) of all abilities is now offering music lessons before the j
 am! Come hang out and play with other awesome women in a supportive and 
 non-intimating environment. Lessons start at 6:30pm for girls followed r
 ocking 7pm-8pm\, and 8pm lessons for ladies followed by rocking at 8:30p
 m-9pm. Gear will be set up for anyone&rsquo\;s use\, or bring your own i
 nstrument!\nThe mission of Girls Rock! Rhode Island is to help girls and
  women empower themselves through the development of musical skills in o
 rder to foster self-esteem\, self-confidence\, and self-efficacy. Throug
 h this work we hope to build an environment conducive to the active part
 icipation and respect of women as creative producers of our culture. We 
 envision a future where women and girls are prolific\, independent creat
 ors of all aspects of modern culture.
