The 101sr Annual Medieval Christmas Festival will take place in the majestic St. George's School Chapel. This service traces it origins back to Roman times when the December celebrations of Saturnalia would provide a welcome respite from the rigors of winter. This is a ceremony that heralds the Incarnation with Christmas hymns and a procession of Mary and Joseph with the Baby Jesus, shepherds, kings and angels.
The service has remained nearly the same at St. George’s throughout its 101-year history. Seating is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early.

For those of you who have never experienced a St George's Christmas Festival, I urge you to attend tonight. Having been fortunate enough to enjoy this most beautiful festival several times, I can promise you will not be disappointed. This is not a "typical school production." It is first rate in both the music selections and the soloists. The students are incredibly talented, and this festival is a wonderful opportunity for islanders to share in the beauty of the St.George's School Chapel. If you are not yet in the Christmas spirit, you will be by the end of the night!
