Strong thunderstorms are expected to hit Narragansett Bay and southeast Massachusetts later this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
A strong thunderstorm was spotted at 9:40 a.m. near North Kingstown, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Brief downpours and wind gusts, reaching 30 mph, can be expected. Minor flooding is also possible.
