Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service. Volunteers provide one-on-one assistance and preparation of income tax returns. Our service is offered to low and middle income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to those 60 and older. Last year 6,407 Rhode Island families were helped by Tax-Aide volunteers, with 1616 returns prepared by 30 volunteers at five sites in Newport County.
