BankNewport (www.banknewport.com) celebrated the opening of its new Administration and Operations Center at 184 John Clarke Road, in the Aquidneck Corporate Park in Middletown on August 8 with an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
BankNewport President and CEO, Sandra J. Pattie presided over the ceremony, with representatives from the Bank’s Board of Directors, the Town of Middletown and invited guests in attendance. President Pattie cut the ceremonial ribbon citing the enthusiasm and continued contributions of the Bank’s Board, management team and dedicated employees.
“It’s truly an exciting day, as this new facility signifies BankNewport’s continued investment in our communities, in our employees and in our business,” stated President Pattie. “We look forward to continuing our role as a true community partner and neighbor to the businesses here in the Aquidneck Corporate Park, and to the residents of Middletown and surrounding communities.”
Over 145 Bank employees, previously located at 12 Turner Road and at 528 West Main Road in Middletown, will now benefit from the collaborative work atmosphere, shared resources, advanced technology and greater efficiency of operations that the renovated 54,000 square foot facility will provide. A drive-up ATM is located on the property for the convenience of businesses and visitors to the Aquidneck Corporate Park.
“There's genuine excitement about our new home and, more importantly, even greater excitement about BankNewport’s future,” continued President Pattie.
In spring 2013, the Bank opened a lending center in Cranston, at 1000 Chapel View Boulevard in Garden City, and announced the construction of its newest branch location at The Shops at Quonset Point in North Kingstown, scheduled to open in December 2013. Most recently, BankNewport added 26 fee-free ATMs to its network in all Walgreens drugstores, broadening its overall ATM network to 40 locations in Rhode Island.
