Become a Volunteer Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Advocate

Volunteer advocates provide support, information, referrals and safety planning to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and hate crimes at hospitals and police departments throughout Rhode Island.  Receive 30 hours of training to provide you with the skills, confidence and knowledge that will enable you to work with victims of all ages.  You must be 18 and have a car.  There is a particular need for volunteers who are bilingual and able to work with diverse populations.  Next training begins May 28, 2014.  Please contact Wendy Allmendinger at 421-4100, ext. 146 or wallmendinger@dayoneri.org
