Jefferson House manager receives Award of Excellence

NEWINGTON – Bill Gurekovich, Food and Nutrition Services manager at Jefferson House, received a 2014 Aging Services Award of Excellence from LeadingAge Connecticut during the LeadingAge 25th Annual Expo held May 14 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. Gurekovich was nominated by Jefferson House Executive Director Susan Vinal. Participating in the award presentation are, from left, Molly Savard, executive director, The Bradley Home and LeadingAge CT’s Awards Committee chairwoman; Gurekovich; Robyn Beaulieu, Jefferson House director of nursing; and Patricia Morse, president of Connecticut Baptist Homes and LeadingAge CT chairwoman. LeadingAge Connecticut is a membership organization representing more than 130 not-for-profit mission-driven provider organizations serving older adults and disabled individuals across a continuum of care.

 

Jefferson House, a department of Hartford Hospital, offers short-term/outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing and palliative care. It is located at 1 John H. Stewart Drive in Newington.
