Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCSRI) is taking a series of steps designed to support all Rhode Island residents in choosing health coverage and maintaining healthy lives. BCBSRI will continue operations of its Warwick retail location in response to ongoing demand from consumers and supporting individuals who may be choosing insurance before the end of open enrollment on March 31. In addition, BCBSRI has developed and is distributing Healthcare Basics, a comprehensive guide to understanding healthcare in Rhode Island.
Healthcare Basics, a 12 page informational booklet, provides consumers with information critical to understanding their healthcare choices, including: who works in healthcare, how to stay healthy, why health and dental insurance is important, and definitions of healthcare terms. Healthcare Basics will be available at BCBSRI headquarters in Providence, the retail location in Warwick, the BCBSRI Community Health & Wellness Screenings throughout the open enrollment period, and online at the following link: https://www.bcbsri.com/sites/default/files/BCBSRI_Health_Insurance_Booklet_03142014.pdf.
The retail office, located at 300 Quaker Lane, Warwick, is staffed Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM-1:00PM.
