A large deer found herself stuck between a rock and a hard place after the recent snowstorm, but thanks to Tiverton rescue crews and DEM, was freed from a narrow crevice Thursday afternoon.

Bellevue Shop Owner Dies After Struck Crossing Road

A 59-year-old Middletown woman died Thursday night after she was struck by a pickup truck while crossing Bellevue Avenue in Newport. She was the second pedestrian hit in a crosswalk in the area this week.
