Early Newport Folk Festival Tickets Sell Out in Minutes; Organizers Put All Ticket Options On-Sale
General tickets are now available for the Newport Folk Festival.
In response to frustrations expressed on social media by Newport Folk Festival fans that early-bird tickets sold out within minutes Wednesday morning, the festival made general tickets available that same afternoon.
"I was on this from the second they were available," wrote a fan on the Newport Folk Festival Facebook page. " One moment they are not yet available, and the next moment they have already gone? How can that be?"
Dozens of others had similar complaints.
"Thanks for your patience and support!" wrote organizers on Facebook. "We put all ticket options on-sale since the early bird sold out so quickly."
The festival is scheduled Friday, July 25 - Sunday, July 27. Artists will be announced on a rolling bases.
