Artist Paula Visnoski Watercolor Painting Exhibit

Local artist, Paula Visnoski, from Middletown, RI will have 21 watercolor paintings on display in the lower level gallery at the Newport Public Library for the entire month of May, 2012.

The artist’s opening reception for the show will be Saturday, May 5th from 4PM to 6PM. There will be snacks and light refreshments. The event is free to the public.

Ms Visnoski recently donated a painting to help raise money for USA Battle Buddies. Tickets are currently being sold to raffle off the painting on Armed Forces Day, May 19, 2012. Details can be found on the artist’s website, http://www.pmvart.com.

Ms Visnoski has won numerous awards locally and internationally in painting, photography and graphic design. In 2010 and 2011 she received awards in the Middletown Historical Society’s "Beautiful Middletown Photography Contest" Juried by the Photographer’s Guild of the Newport Art Association.

Several of the paintings on display have been award winners. Among them, the painting “Breakthrough” honored in the Juried Jamestown, RI Town Hall Art Exhibit in 2011, “Predators & Prey” at the 5th Annual Manhattan Arts International “Celebrate the Healing Power of Art” juried art exhibition in New York and “Mortality” took a 1st place award in the American Art Awards International Juried show in 2009.

All the paintings on display will be for sale through direct contact with the artist.
