Two Great Places for Easter Brunch on Aquidneck Island

A look at two local favorites for Easter brunch in Middletown and Portsmouth.

The Easter Egg Hunt is over and now it's time for the feast. Let Green Valley Country Club or Atlantic Beach Club do the work for you.

The Atlantic Beach Club

The hostess at the told me about their spectacular Easter Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Here reservations are requested. Scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict, sausage, bacon, home fries, French toast, chicken, fish, baked ham, fruit salad, Caesar salad, and homemade pastries and desserts are made by their in-house pastry chefs.

The Atlantic Beach Club is located at 55 Purgatory Road, right on the beach in Middletown. The phone is 401-847-2750 and the prices are $18.95 for adults and $9.95 for children.

Green Valley Country Club

I spoke with Ryan Raposa at in Portsmouth about their Easter buffet. Green Valley starts serving at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. While reservations are requested and encouraged, they will seat you without them. Their buffet includes a breakfast station with omelets made to order, baked ham, roasted leg of lamb, baked scrod, vegetables, potatoes, soup, salad bar, and a dessert station with a chocolate fondue fountain. Coffee, tea and soda are also included.
