SUP (stand-up paddleboard) Yoga has grown in popularity as practitioners enjoy the added core-strengthening benefits of the board's instability. Now, utilizing the fascinating instability of their brand new indoor-board platform, FloorTime Studios Yoga Instructor Annette Burke will present a beautifully beneficial Yoga practice on these boards that float on a well-designed cushion of air.
We may all wish it could be sunny and warm every day, but here in New England we're wise to find outlets for our passions to suit varied weather conditions. We can't re-create the sun and the waves here in our studio, and we encourage folks to continue to discover stand-up paddleboarding and the practice of SUP Yoga whenever they're able to get out on the water. But for all those times when the weather, your budget, or your schedule may keep you on solid ground, we invite you to discover our unique Indoor SUP Yoga sessions here at FloorTime Studios.
Annette's Yoga practice is a Hatha Yoga inspired by Viniyoga; where you'll move in and out of each posture following the breath, and focusing on the breath. This allows us to prepare the body before holding the posture and enables us to go deep into each posture in a safe way. Her mantra is: Stretch and Strengthen the Body - Relax and Quiet the Mind - Nurture and Nourish the Soul.
