3. Two big events begin in Newport on Friday. The Black Ships Festival begins Friday at Touro Park on Bellevue Avenue, with a variety of Japanese events, arts, and culture. Also, is the Hellenic Fest on Thames Street, celebrating the Greek culture with food, music, and dancing. 

4. Fort Adams is exploring the paranormal with a Summer Ghost Hunt on Friday evening.

5. The Newport Gulls take on the Sanford Mainers Friday evening and the USA polo team is playing Argentina Saturday.
