Get Your Passport to Newport at the Naval Base, or Be a Paper Pilot

A look at what's happening in Middletown today.

Here's a look at Tuesday in Middletown:

  1. On Tuesday night starting at 5 p.m. at the Middletown Public Library, the Middletown Rotary Club will hold its 2nd Annual Cereal Night to benefit local food pantries. The event also includes a story time for kids.
  2. For those with access to the Newport Naval Base, Passport to Newport returns from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Officer’s Club, featuring arts and crafts for kids, prize giveaways, information on local businesses, and military support and recreational services for families. A copy of the event flyer is available to view or print at right.
  3. Want to learn the basics of digital photography, find online photo program freebies, or brush up on some basic digi-photo skills? Registration is now open for four weekly Tuesday classes scheduled to begin two weeks from today on April 5 at the Middletown Senior Center. Click here to learn more.
  4. Are you sitting there thinking, "I Must Have Bobo?" Then Miss Lynn's storytime at Barnes & Noble this morning is for you.
  5. Are you the master at folding paper into aerodynamic flying machines? Then don't miss the March 31 deadline to submit your entries for the Middletown Public Library's Paper Pilot Contest for Kids. All entries will be airborne (they will hang from the library's ceiling) and judging is scheduled for the first week in April.
