Looking Back: The Post-Christmas Blizzard of 2010

One year ago this week, Middletown and Newport residents were digging out from a post-Christmas storm.

Hard to believe we haven't had our first real snow yet, when you think back to this time last year in town.

This week in 2010, Middletown and Newporters were buried deep in a post-Christmas blizzard. The  hit on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010. It snowed pretty much uninterrupted until midday on Monday, Dec. 27, with the brunt of the storm hitting our area in the overnight hours Sunday into Monday.

As we anxiously await the first snowfall of this winter season, let's look back at where we were this time last year.
