More Snow Expected, Parking Ban Scheduled

A coastal storm will drop about 4 inches over much of Rhode Island tonight.

A winter storm moving up the Atlantic coast will dump upwards of 4 inches across Rhode Island this evening and night.

A snow parking ban will begin at 4 p.m. Monday and last until 6 p.m. on Tuesday.  All vehicles must be off town roads to allow snow plows and emergency vehicles to pass.  Contact the Middletown Police Department with questions or concerns at 846-1144.

Areas along the coast should see a bit more than interior towns. The National Weather Service is calling for snow to begin late this afternoon, around 4-5 p.m. and continue through the night, ending around 4 a.m. Tuesday. Areas along the coast should see 3-5 inches, with most of the state getting 2 to 4 inches of the white stuff.
