Officials recommend the closure of Third Beach and King's Park Beach in Newport to swimming
Today officals recommended the closure of King's Park Beach in Newport and Third Beach in Middletown to swimming due to high bacteria counts.
The Department of Health (HEALTH) will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming. Water quality analysis is conducted by the HEALTH laboratory or a state certified laboratory.
