Readers' Choice: Best Liquor Store In Town

Vote on which local liquor store is your go-to for all your beer, wine and liquor needs.

You might not know it from the March-like weather Rhode Island experienced last week, but the unofficial start of summer — Memorial Day — is only a couple weeks away. That means it's time to break out the BBQ pit, stock the freezer with grillable meats and — of course — fill the fridge with your favorite adult beverages.

Maybe you want to cool down with an ice-cold beer, relax on the deck with a refreshing vodka-tonic, or fill your glass with your favorite red or white varietal. Whether it's beer, wine or liquor you crave, there is no shortage of package stores in the area to supply you with your favorite spirit.

Just about any liquor store will carry plenty of Jack Daniels, Absolut, Sam Adams and a typical assortment of table wines. But any true connoisseur knows it's all about the selection. And some liquor stores are better than others at stocking the highest end whiskey or most obscure microbrew. So we want to know from you: Which liquor store in Bristol-Warren provides the widest variety of spirits, has the best prices, and is your go-to place to meet your adult beverage needs?

Is , or the best?

Vote in our poll below, then share your thoughts in the comments section. If we left your favorite package store off the list, note that in the comments as well.

We'll leave the poll up all week then close voting at 9 a.m. Friday. At noon that day, we'll share your top local pick. Then be sure to watch the site over the weekend when we tally up the top votes and announce the liquor stores that got the most rave reviews across all of our Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts sites.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

I love Goode Spirits!

All three are great liquor stores but I realy prefer Goode Spirits for selection and stock on hand. I don't believe Aquidneck liquors is in the same category of liqour stores that these three are but I do appreciate the locals giving it a plug on the site.Kudos

Aquidneck Liquors has been added to the poll. Apologies for the oversight. Thanks for pointing it out!

Goode spirits is by far the best in Middletown.Just walk in and you will see the amazing selections they have.

Too Funny. We are voting on our favorite liquor store when we should really be voting for lower taxes. Such is life in Middletown; we can do nothing about the high taxes so we hide our problems in the bottle...so to speak. On that note, I'm off to Aquidneck Liquors to see Mike, buy a bottle whiskey, because my taxes are due in two weeks.

Sandy's Liquors has an extraordinary selection of both wine and beer. The owner has a lot knowledge and suggestions of all the products that are offered. The variety in stock has a lot to offer.

I chose Sandy's because of the serive in that store! Mike is usually at the counter and he extremely helpful and knowledgable. The store is relatively small but they still carry a bit of everything and, if there is something they don't carry, Mike will order it for you. They are awesome.
