A Running Start to Turkey Day

Congrats to all the hearty souls who turned out for 26th Annual Newport Fed Pie Run. You deserve second helpings.

Sunny skies and chilly temps in the high 30s greeted hundreds of runners and spectators who turned out this morning for the 26th Annual Newport Fed Pie Run, organized by the Newport Running Club. Start and finish were on Valley Road in front of the Newport County YMCA, with a 5-mile race course (or 3-mile non-competitive course) that wound along Tuckerman Ave, Second Beach, and Purgatory Road. Besides the lovely view, guilt-free pie eating is another bonus. Well done!
