This Week: Paper Pilot Contest Deadline Nears, Cereal Night, Buddy, Coyotes and More

A look ahead at what's coming up this week in Middletown.

Here are five happenings this week sure to get people talking:

  1. On Monday night, the Middletown Town Council meets for its regularly scheduled session. Among the topics of discussion are changing local laws related to hunting as they pertain to the ongoing coyote problem. The agenda is available to view or print at right.
  2. On Tuesday the Middletown Rotary Club will hold its 2nd Annual Cereal Night at the Middletown Public Library to benefit local food pantries. The event also includes a story time for kids.
  3. Time is winding down before the March 31 deadline to submit your entries for the Middletown Public Library's Paper Pilot Contest for Kids. Entries will be displayed at the library and judging will take place during the first week of April.
  4. On Thursday, join local coyote expert Dr. Numi Mitchell for a public lecture and discussion on local coyotes at the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge.
  5. Also Thursday, former Providence mayor, media personality and author Buddy Cianci will be at Island Books to sign copies of his memoir "Politics and Pasta." You don't want to miss this event!
